Large wind resource available
With no noise problems the local resource is:-
large turbines installed at 1-2 pa can meet 28% of 2050 needs smaller turbines at 23 pa, sites to supply

Land issues
At present we import over 90% of our food
We have land and skills to grow and process most of our own food
This still leaves room for:- Solar Arrays for 37% of low carbon demand Planting woodland for coppice for energy – heating/electricity backup for wind and solar & for system stability etc Recreation land, nature & other uses

insulation, new boilers- especially renewable heat supply low energy lighting, conservatories controls, smart metering, video conferencing industrial system redesign & LCA low carbon transport options
