Fake doctors note..need advice? | Yahoo Answers I've been in a similar situation, and if you don't mind disclosing the actual medical problem to your prof then the solution would likely work for you too. Ask the doctor to write you a doctor's note that says he saw you on the day that he did see you (after when you missed your exam), but to also include the fact that you have had this condition in the past, the condition is severe enough that the pain you said you were in on that day is very much possible, and that it's the type of condition that doesn't suddenly appear so that when you saw him 3 days later (or however much later you saw him), you couldn't have possibly in no pain just a few days earlier. You don't have to get your doctor to lie, but I have yet to hear of a prof or employer who will turn down a note like that which is truthful and supports your claims without the doctor having to say that he saw you ill on the actual date of your exam.

I've been in a similar situation, and if you don't mind disclosing the actual medical problem to yourprof then the solution would likely work for you too.

Ask the doctor to write you a doctor's note that says he saw you on the day that he did see you (afterwhen you missed your exam), but to also include the fact that you have had this condition in thepast, the condition is severe enough that the pain you said you were in on that day is very muchpossible, and that it's the type of condition that doesn't suddenly appear so that when you saw him 3days later (or however much later you saw him), you couldn't have possibly in no pain just a few daysearlier.

You don't have to get your doctor to lie, but I have yet to hear of a prof or employer who will turndown a note like that which is truthful and supports your claims without the doctor having to saythat he saw you ill on the actual date of your exam.

Will they let you write the exam without the note tomorrow and count the exam only if you providethe note afterwards? I hope so. Explain the situation, and tell your prof that you expect to be able toprovide the note shortly.
