FAITH FOCUS: Kindness Kindness is showing God’s love to others. It is loving your neighbor as yourself. DAY 1 Read Luke 6:27-35 How does God show kindness? When have you felt the kindness of God? The Bible tells us that God is kind. The best example of God’s kindness is when He shows mercy and forgives our sins when we ask. DAY 2 Read John 10:11-16 & Isaiah 40:11 What does showing kindness look like? Who is someone that you know that shows kindness? Isaiah 40:11 compares God’s kindness to the way a Shepherd carries his lamb close to his heart. Maybe you have shown kindness to a favourite pet like this? Our Bible story demonstrates this kindness when the good Samaritan helped the injured man. The good Samaritan showed kindness without being asked and without expecting something in return. He was kind because he truly cared about others. DAY 3 Read Ephesians 4:17-32 When have you been kind to someone? Who is someone that you can show kindness to this week? Ephesians 4:32 tells is to be kind to everyone. This verse also reminds us to forgive others because God has forgiven us. By being kind to others, we show them that God loves them.
