From the Pastor
The Lenten and Easter time together was such a
blessing. I continue to receive good words of the Lord's
work of redemption in each of you through all that took
place.
In these blessings of Easter, the Spirit impresses
upon my heart more and more the words of Psalm 16:3.
The godly people of our church family and community
are my true heroes! Much like the psalmist in this
Psalm, I am gushing inside over our experience of God
together this Easter season. And, I cannot wait to see
what God has for us in the days ahead. I, especially,
want to say thank you for all your love and concern for
Rhonda and me with my upcoming surgery at
Vanderbilt on Wednesday. Your love and care for us is
so humbling and special. I cannot thank you enough. We
love each of you very much! Thank you to our Father
and to each of you for allowing us to make FFCPC
home!

Participating in Belk
Charity Sale May 4
Our women are again participating in the May 4 Belk
Charity Sale. This is one of our major fundraisers that
happens twice a year. We have tickets for sale for
$5. Our CPWM keeps all the proceeds. If you want a
ticket or tickets, please see one of the ladies selling
them.
We need ladies to sign up to help us sell tickets at the door of Belk, beginning April 15 up to the sale. A
signup sheet is in the Narthex. We still have a few slots
to fill. Please look at your calendar and see if you can
help.

Second Harvest Food Giveaway!
An Opportunity to Serve!!
We will be having our Food Giveaway again on May
17-18. The truck will arrive on May 17. We need "a
few good men" to unload it for us in the morning. Then
at 5 pm, we will all unload the pallets and open all the
boxes and display everything on tables in the
sanctuary. On the 18th, we will receive neighbors from
the community who are in need of food and help them
shop and get their groceries out to their cars.
In preparation for this, we always need to collect plastic
grocery bags and the square Ingles milk boxes. We
already have a few of these, but please start bringing
them in. The boxes should be collected in the garage
and the bags in the church in the Bible 101 Classroom.
More details to follow. We have signup sheets in the
Narthex.

Dear Friends, I received a thank you note from Nan B, a
senior meal client. She wanted me to thank the cooks,
and deliverers for the wonderful meals. She also asked
for prayers for her many health needs, which I am sure
you all will add her to your prayer list. Thanks for all
you do.

Gideons Card Ministry The Gideons International, founded in 1899
in Wisconsin, is an association of Christian
business and professional men and their
wives dedicated to telling people about Jesus
Donate Your Eyeglasses!! Do you have a few pair of old eyeglasses just sitting in a
drawer, taking up space? Why don't you donate them at
church. We have a collection box in the Narthex. When
the box is full, we donate those to the Farragut Lions
Club. These glasses are taken to a recycle center and
then the recycled glasses are distributed to people in
need in low and middle income communities where they
will have the greatest impact. If you have any
questions, please contact Frances Poore at (865) 599-
0083 or [email protected].
Kroger Community Rewards The Kroger Community Rewards program is helping us
raise money for the Faith Fellowship CPWM. It is an
easy way to support our church and the CPWM. Simply
enroll your Kroger Card in the program, following the
link below. https://www.kroger.com/communityrewards
One misconception is that if you sign up for the
Community Rewards Program, you won't get your fuel
points. This is NOT true! You will be able to do both!
FISH Pantry Collections
through sharing personally and by providing
Bibles and New Testaments. While they are
known worldwide for their work with hotels,
they predominately share Scriptures in
schools and colleges, prisons and jails,
hospitals, and medical offices.
The Gideons have a card ministry that we
would like to share with our church. You
may donate Bibles in someone's name
through this ministry. They have a wide
range of cards including sympathy, get well,
thank you, in memory, pastor appreciation,
birthday, recognition, and
encouragement. We have placed a card rack
on the wall across from the large Sunday
School classroom at the west entrance to our
church. To donate Bibles to honor someone
special, all you have to do is choose a card,
personalize the card by filling out the blanks,
add your message and send the card. To
donate Bibles, just complete the orange
donation envelope inside the card and mail it
to The Gideons International address on the
front of the envelope.
Each $5 donation places a Bible in the hands
of a person who needs one anywhere around
the world.
Flowers for the Altar
If you would like to provide flowers for the
altar in memory or in honor of someone,
please contact the office at (865) 988-8522 to
let us know.
We are continuing to collect toiletries for the West Knox
Food Pantry (FISH) on an ongoing basis. We have a
container in the Narthex to collect these and will take
them every month or so to the pantry when it is our turn
to deliver for FISH.
