FAIRWAYS A NEWSLETTER FOR THE TEAM MEMBERS OF WOODFIELD COUNTRY CLUB ® FALL 2015 FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER A new season has arrived and we’re ready for the best year yet at Woodfield. The Cascades Fitness Center, Salon and Blendz were reconfigured and beautifully renovated. Our members are very pleased and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Construction continues through season as we build our new Children’s Clubhouse, pool facilities and poolside dining restaurant. We will be seeing a large increase in activities, traffic and construction in the coming months, and there will be limited parking spaces available at the Club. In order to ensure members and their guests have access to premium parking spaces for valet and self-parking, employees are encouraged to carpool with one another. On days with large on-site events, the Club will arrange off-site parking and shuttle service for our team members. Your cooperation allows us to host successful events and provide a stress-free renovation experience for our members and their guests – it is truly a team effort! This year’s Season Launch weekend is themed Lost in Space. Members and their guests are looking forward to the party on Saturday evening featuring an open bar and expansive buffet with entertainment that is sure to be out of this world! Sunday’s Family Carnival will bring plenty of food, rides, games and fun for the whole family. In honor of our flagship weekend, we will be counting down the week of the event. Your favorite HR staff will have stellar games, goodies and giveaways! You know, you don’t have to wait until that week to win prizes. The month of October has been transformed into “Walk-tober” for our team members as part of our Wellness Challenge initiative. Take part in the 10K-a-Day pedometer challenge and see how many miles you really cover during your busy day at the Club as well as off-site. October is also the time for our 2 nd Annual Community Services Expo. This event focuses on programs in our community that offer benefits to you and your family and help you achieve a positive work-life balance. Over 30 providers will be present: from financial planning, transportation solutions and childhood development, to computer repair, public speaking, swimming lessons and pet care. I hope you take advantage of this event on Wednesday, October 28 and see what services and organizations can further enrich your life! See you around the Club! Eben M.
