Fair Garden News Newsletter #6 A Month Filled with Love February may be the shortest month, but it is the month filled with the most love. As you know Valentine’s Day is in the month of February. We showcase our love towards our friends and family throughout the month. Let’s extend that love towards learning more about Black History during the month of February. Let’s extend that love towards learning about our own bodies and taking care of our hearts since it is also Heart Awareness Month. Let’s continue to extend our love towards learning about the healthiness of our gums and teeth since February is also Dental Health Awareness Month. (We’re also having a Dental Health Fair at Fair Garden at the end of the month!) Let’s extend our love towards learning about our country as we celebrate our past and present U.S. Presidents (President Barack Obama) on Presidents’ Day. Employee of the Month Huge congratulations to Ms. Pamela Younger for being our Employee of the month! Ms. Younger is a fabulous teacher of our 3-year-old students. She has been a part of Knox County Schools for over 30 years! Prior to joining the Fair Garden Family, Ms. Younger taught Kindergarten for many years at Sarah Moore Greene School. She brings her rich background and extensive knowledge to her students everyday. Ms. Younger is top notched and we are honored to recognize her as our Employee of the month!!

Our Black History Month/King and Queen Program will be on Friday, February 19th at 9:00 a.m. Come out to see our students showcase their talents as they go through the different musical eras (60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s) of Black History in our country. You, also don’t want to miss who will be crowned our new King and Queen for this year!! You will enjoy every minute of it!

Re-Enrolling All Three Year Old Students

If your child is in one of our 3-year old classrooms, he/she must re-enroll to move to our 4-year old classroom for next year. Re-enrollment packets will be sent home on February 15th. The completed packets are due by March 11th. We want to make sure our current students are enrolled before we open enrollment for new students in the Spring. Make sure you complete the packets and if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.
