I began my career with Ernst &

Young right after graduation. Prior

to joining Goldman Sachs, I was

Assistant Manager at BNP Paribas

Internal Control Department.

During my time at PolyU, the

U.S. student exchange and

PricewaterhouseCoopers internship

helped me build up confidence

in communication and working

independently. I also learned to be

proactive, vocal and thoughtful.

– Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U),initiated by President Clinton in 2007, is a community of young leaders who take concrete steps to solve new challenges worldwide. It has five foci, namely Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health. PolyU’s Faculty ofBusinessisthefirstAsianmember.

The Faculty’s first project “Social Problem:PovertyAlleviation” tackles twoproblems inHongKong:1)citizensagedaround45to75beingunskilledandthusunemployed;and2) reusableobjects being thrown away. Student groups, community organisations and the unemployed join hands in upcycling and turning discarded materials into marketable products. Participants gain new skills and contributes to environment protection.

– MISSION 200 貧窮老人 aims at providing 200 elderly and lonely people with care and daily necessities every year. Faculty students will attend workshops organised by the Social Welfare Department and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hong Kong to learn the necessary skills and group together to pay visits to the elderly in public housing estates in Shatin. They also reached out to the homeless in Hung Hom during winter.

– Wellness Clinic, operated by students from the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences andthe Faculty of Business, where students gain clinic experience and develop communication, leadership and entrepreneurial skills. The clinic is aimed mainly at providing preventive health services, including screening and other physical examinations as well as health education, such as promoting good habits.
