Window + Door Store Cape is a proud supplier of high quality, purpose made joinery and timber products to the building and housing industries. To ensure excellence, our extensive range of products is exposed to a strict, quality controlled environment within our factory.

Our windows and doors are manufactured from selected kiln-dried hardwood to ensure minimal twist and warp. As one of the few importers of Burmese Teak, we strive to provide the Western Cape with a unique and environmentally conscious product. Our Burmese Teak is completely sustainable- as a hectare is removed another is planted, thus ensuring a continuous and abundant supply of this beautiful raw material.

Both our sliding and mock sash windows come in various sizes for full, Victorian or cottage pane. Our windows have non-slam, easy to clean hinges and solid brass or satin chrome handles. They are hung with rot-proof, polyester sash cord and are fitted with rubber seals to ensure zero rattling.

All of our mouldings are made with superior quality materials. We mainly use meranti, pine and superwood, however other timbers can be used. We can produce different profiles and purpose-made mouldings, tailored to your needs.*Not all of our mouldings are shown below.

+ It is essential that our products be treated with a good quality penetrating wood sealer, immediately after delivery and prior to installation.

+ Doors should be stored flat on a level surface, in a dry, well ventilated area.

+ At least two coats of oil should be applied prior to installation on all six sides of the product. Please note- the end grain is where most moisture will be absorbed and this will cause doors to crack, twist and warp.

+ In agreement of SABS regulations and guidelines, allow 5-10mm clearance between lintels and the top of sliding doors, sliding folding doors and windows.

+ When installing sliding doors and sliding folding doors, do not use a spirit level to align the door. Use a plumb bomb and tape measure. Measure from corner to opposite corner to check if square.
