2005 was a record year for OEM order book as business was boosted not only by the main Occidental airlines renewing their aircraft fleet but also and owing to fast growth of the Asian airline sector. Overall commercial aviation radial tire requirements are slated to double over the next few years.
With +60% market share, Michelin is the Aircraft radial tire World leader.

Michelin has been selected to fit the Airbus A380 and the future Boeing 787.
Michelin fits airlines'planes throughout the world: United Airlines, Northwest Airlines and JetBlue (USA), Air France, British Airways and Easyjet (Europe), Emirates (Middle-East), Japan Air lines, Cathay Pacific and Air Asia (Asia) to name but a few.
With its new tire manufacture and retreading units on three continents (USA, Europe and Asia), Michelin ensures a global service offering to its customers.

Taking the lead on the strength of its radial tire technology edge, Michelin is driving general adoption of radial technology on this segment. Its tire offering clearly posts breakthrough performance in terms of service life as compared with conventional bias products.
Michelin tires are mounted on the ATR family of aircraft and in the next few months on EMBRAER190, that belongs to the fast-growing 70-100 seat segment.

Michelin's excellence recognized once again with reconduction of the PBL (Performance Based Logistics) 2005 contract for exclusive supply of tires to the US Navy for many of its aircraft.
Michelin will fit new military aircrafts such as the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) and already equips the F22, the Rafale and the Eurofighter.
