Train

The train net of Switzerland is very efficient and well organized. Zermatt is therefore easily reachable. 1st class tickets can be reserved in advance. We would be pleased to assist you for detailed timetable information.

Helicopter

Air Zermatt, based in Zermatt, offers service to and from the airports of Zurich, Geneva, Bern, Basel, Sion and Interlaken.

Car

Zermatt is car-free. So please leave your car at Täsch, the last village accessible by car. Our Welcome Parking AG, the parking infrastructure of the Seiler hotels (covered parking space: CHF 18.-- per day, CHF 15.-- during summer). We would be pleased to assist you with the reservation of a garage or parking place. The staff at the Welcome Parking takes care of your car, your luggage and organizes the onward journey to Zermatt.

Transfer to the hotel

A previous information of your arrival time in Zermatt would allow to pick up with our electric hoteltaxi at the train station, the heliport or the meeting point of the minibus-taxis in Zermatt.

Adventure and sports in the Zermatt mountain world

Paragliding (Summer and Winter) If paragliding fascinates you, give it a whirl right here in Zermatt. A beginner can take a tandem flight with qualified instructor. Flights are available from different peaks. Gliders will be given a birds’ eye view of the beautiful countryside. To toast this moment, champagne will be served at the landing spot in Zermatt. Climbing the Breithorn (4164 m) (Summer and Winter) Under the guidance of a Zermatt guide, climbers will ascend as a roped party to the summit. The Klein Matterhorn cable way will take you to your starting point ( 3’870 m). The climb to the peak takes approximately two hours. Enjoy the unforgettable panoramic view of twenty-seven mountain peaks having more than 4’000 m. For this type of excursion, one must be in good physical condition as well as a good skier. No prior technical knowledge is necessary as the Breithorn is the easiest of all the mountain peak climbs above 4’000 m. Fly around the Matterhorn (Summer & Winter) Passengers depart from the Zermatt heliport (located north of the train station about a 10 minute walk). After flying around the Matterhorn, you will land on the glacier "Testa Grigia" (3’500 m in altitude) where you will have an aperitif with snacks. From "Testa Grigia" you can enjoy the magnificent ski slopes down to Zermatt. Gorge Adventure (Summer & Winter) Unique in Switzerland! Guided tour through the Gorner Gorge between Furi (1’865 m) and Zermatt (1’620 m) with its impressive rock formations (holes in the rock formed by glaciers, polished rock faces) pounded by enormous masses of rushing water. It is a unique spectacle of nature. The passage through the gorge is over a distance of about 1 km and takes approx. 3 - 4 hours. Your feet stay dry throughout the climb. Ski Race (Summer & Winter) We will organize a race for your group with all the necessary preparations (slopes, chronometers etc.) in the Gornergrat ski resort. A glass of mulled wine awaits you upon completion. Mountain bike Tour (Summer) We will organize a unique itinerary according to the wishes of your group. A possible excursion would be a trip to Sunnegga, where a picnic is awaiting you at the shore of the idyllic lake Leisee. Following this break, the group would "pack-up" and return over the typical mountain village Findeln to Zermatt. Walking with snowshoes (Winter) Experience an amazing winter walk through the scenic landscape of Zermatt.

Animated curling lesson in the outdoor followed by a funny competition. In between we will serve mulled wine and pastry.



Culinary and culture for body and soul

Welcome cocktail at our hotel bar or in summer on our beautiful sun terrace on the first floor.

Sun rise

Early in the morning you catch the cable car which takes you to Rothorn Restaurant, where you may enjoy a rich breakfast and the breathtaking spectacle of the rising sun. Afterwards a mountain guide of Zermatt will lead you to the amazing lost valley (summer) or by ski walking (winter) into nature to show you the majestic beauty of the Alps. Rustic night The cable car leads you to Furri where an entertaining fondue or raclette party is arranged in a rustic mountain restaurant. A folk music group will entertain you all evening long with typical Swiss music. The dinner will be followed by a funny journey with torches towards Zermatt by sledge (winter) or by foot (about 45 minutes). If you prefer to stay in the village, a similar evening can be organized in our restaurant Schwyzer Stübli with folk music and dance. An aperitif at the hotel bar or on the terrace would be therefore an ideal start of the evening. Barbecue What about a barbecue on the hotel terrace? Entertainment and a cheerful atmosphere is guaranteed by a folk music band. Buffet with the theme of your choice We will be pleased to organize a buffet as per your choice of theme.
