CertifiCate in Science, Technology and inTernaTional SecuriTy
ABOUT THE PROGRAM the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Science, technology, and international Security (StiS) draws on academics and seasoned practitioners to give students the tools to analyze the security threats and opportunities inherent in scientific and technological developments. Cyber operations, weapons proliferation, drones, climate change, and energy security, are just a few of the issues that students can investigate in this program. Our goal is to help students excel in their careers by helping them learn how science and technology issues play in the fields of defense, diplomacy, and intelligence.
the Certificate in StiS brings together courses from many different disciplines into a highly customizable program. this program is useful for students who are interested in science and technology in a security context but who come from a social science or humanities background. it is also useful for students with a background in a science or technology field who wish to make themselves more marketable in the security field. Such students may be able to take advanced electives.
