FACIAL PRESSURE POINTS

Pressure Point 1: In Between Your Eyes

• This point is located above the bridge of the nose, in between your eyebrows (where you feel the ridges of the eyebrows come together).

• Press this point or tap it for approximately one minute.

• This pressure point: • Helps the mucus secrete properly, preventing the

sinuses from drying and becoming inflamed; • Is a great for preventing colds and rhinitis. • Helps you get a good night’s sleep! Use a small

plastic or glass bead and tape it to this point. It helps you calm down and drift off to sleep.

• Can also help to relieve pressure in the frontal sinuses.

Pressure Point 2: Either Side of the Nostrils

• Located just to the side of the nostril, press both sides down simultaneously. It will help the sinuses drain more effectively. It also helps relieve pain found behind the cheeks.

• Use two fingers and press against these points with your fingers at 90 degrees to the face.

• This point relieves pressure from the Maxillary Sinuses and helps improve circulation in this area. Pressing this point regularly helps to prevent respiratory illnesses, as well.

Pressure Point 3: Bridge of the Nose

• Points are located at the very top of the nose, where the nose connects to the ridge of the eyebrows.

• To activate this point, press in and upwards for about 5 minutes. You naturally try to press this point when you have sinus headaches. It relieves pressure behind the eyes due to sinusitis and other conditions in the Frontal, Sphenoid and Ethmoid Sinuses. This point also helps to “wake the eyes up” and minimize pressure placed on the eyes.

Pressure Point 4: Under the Cheeks

• Located almost directly beneath the pupil, this point can be found by tracing the path underneath the cheek until you find a tender point. The point will likely be quite tender when pressing in and upwards again the cheek.

• This point seems to shift the entire face and lead to a pressure release from all of the sinuses as well at the eustachian tubes. It is a great point if you’re experiencing pain or pressure in the Maxillary Sinuses or any pain at all around the cheek area, or even inside the mouth, e.g. a toothache.

Pressure Point 5: The Philtrum (this is the actual name)

• This is an amazing pressure point to use if you’re ever hiding from zombies during an apocalypse!!!

• It’s located just under the nose. Press in and upwards against the base of the nose.

• You can prevent sneezing by pressing on this point for a few seconds.

• If you have allergies and are congested, press this point for a few seconds. Soon, you’ll feel your sinuses begin to drain down the back of your throat.

Pressure Point 6: Eyebrows

This point (i.e. area), is located along the ridge of the eyebrow. Use an old shiatsu technique--Press upwards with your thumbs and slowly move outwards. This pressure point helps when you’re experiencing pressure behind the eyes.
