SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT

First Name, Last Name, E-mail

Address, New

Password, Sex, Birthday, hit green

SIGN UP button.

LOGIN TO YOUR ACCOUNT (once you have one!)

Email address & password: Hit

BLUE LOGIN button.

FRIEND YOUR NEIGHBOR Click FRIENDS tab at top left of

blue part of screen

Choose “Find Friends” on column

on left side of screen. (2nd item)

Friend your neighbor cont. Scroll down page to “Search for

People”. Enter your neighbor’s

email address

Click ADD AS FRIEND on right

side of screen.

Now click on the “Home” tab.

Add as friend

Friend your neighbor cont. Now, on the upper right hand side, there

is a REQUESTS area. You should now

have 1 FRIEND REQUEST.

Click on that request.

Now let’s start your profile Click on PROFILE tab

On left column, choose

“EDIT MY PROFILE”

Start Building your Profile We’ll come by and see how you

are doing.

Enter as much info as you can!

Everywhere

there is a

picture of a

pencil, you

can edit!

Add a Profile Photo Hover over your shadow pic

A little box will pop up saying

“Change picture.” Click on it.

Choose “upload a photo”

Choose “Browse” & find photo you

brought or one we took earlier.

BLUE, you should ENTER INFO!

Add your Neighbor as a Connection Click on “Add Connections” in

green at top right of screen

Enter your neighbor’s email

address & click “send invitations”

Back to your INBOX. Accept your connection invitation!

CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT Enter your first name, last

name, create a

username, password, enter your email

address, the security words, and then

click the grey “Create My Account”

button.

Settings Fill this info out! Short answers, but

details are important!

If you have a website

– type it in here.

Your Bio – who

are you?

Where are you

located? (Either

home or office)

Then click

PICTURE

and upload

that photo!

You will

down &

hit “save”

SO NOW WHAT? Set aside time to visit these sites to familiarize

yourself with them more.

Search to find friends, co-workers, connections, and people to follow

Don’t let frustrations stop you from using these sites. Take your time.

Schedule time to visit these sites on a regular basis. Choose how often you want to be on there – daily or weekly…

FINAL THOUGHTS: Facebook – when you think of people to find, consider

high school, college, past clients…search for them in the search for people function!

LinkedIn – very much like an online resume for your business

Twitter – if you don’t know what to write, follow people and see what they have to say. Then respond to them! Get into conversations with people!
