Customize the group

• Customize your group:– Should non-admins write

on the wall?– Discussion board?– Photos/videos allowed?– Links allowed?– Is the group open,

closed or secret?

Who are your group’s officers and non-officers?

• In what order should they be listed on the group page?

• Option to remove or make officers

Group members

The members tab lists all of your group members and admins. It also lists those who have not yet replied to invites, who has requested admittance and those you have blocked.- You can also remove members by clicking on the “x” next to them.

Invites

The invite tab allows you to invite your friends to your group or invite people via email. You can add a personal message to the invite.- People can join up to 300 groups.

Inviting with a link

If you want to invite others without going through Facebook, copy the URL from your group page and post on your site or send in an email. The visitor can then login and click the join button.

COMMUNICATING WITH MEMBERS

Group wall

You can communicate with all group members by posting a message with link or video to the group’s wall.

Group information

You can add basic information, links and recent news for your group members to see under the Info tab within your group page.

Group discussions

Under the Discussions tab, you can start a new topic for group members to discuss. Group members can do the same depending on the permissions you have set.

You can message all members by making use of Facebook’s group messaging system.

How to leave and delete

You can decide to leave the group by looking at the left hand side of the group page and choosing Leave Group.

Once there are no more members in a group (including the admin), the group will be deleted.
