Monomer Monomer+Nanoparticle
Functional Cotton Fabrics Superhydrophobic, Antibacterial, Conductive, Self-cleaning, ……
Advantages by the covalent bonding formation 1. Excellent laundering durability upto hundreds laundering cycles,
2. Excellent abrasion durability upto thousands cycles,
3. Comfort,
4. Undergo steam ironing ……

Microstructure of SCF
The microstructure of the fabric is unchanged before
and after the graft polymerization.
It is a suitable use for SCF, as a textile, where the
holes between bundles are retained to permit air
passage.
Laundering durable test setup AATCC
(American
Association
of Textile
Chemists
and
Colorists)
Test Method
61-2006.
2A condition: without; 5A condition: 0.027% active chlorine
0.15% standard
WOB detergent;
49oC, 40 ± 2 rpm
After laundering durability test
The superhydrophobicity
is well kept after 50
accelerated laundering
cycles, equivalent to 250
commercial launderings
or home-machine
launderings.
Also showed a particular oleophilicity, where the
organic liquids with surface tension lower than
30 mN/cm can spread out quickly on SCF.

Water vapor transmittance
RIGP tech keep the water vapor transmittance rate as the
pristine cotton fabric, which is important for wearing
comfortable.

Antibacteria Effect
Cotton-g-PBVIM
Superbugs
Step 1. Electrostatic interaction
of the cationic portion with the
negatively charged bacterial
cell wall.
Step 2. Lipophilic groups disturb
cell membranes, resulting in
leakage of intracellular
substances and cell death.
Antibacteria Mechanism
After 150 laundering cycles
Laundering durability lies in the formation of covalent bonds
