A sub-group of the FAB organization began brainstorming over more specific benthic

issues within the Orlando area.

Participants included biologists from state, county, local, andprivate entities:

Biointegrity Consulting Central District FDEP Lake County Marquis Consulting Orange County Reedy Creek Imp. Dist. Seminole County

We had concerns with local watershed issues such as hurricane impacts and non-native species invasion.

We had a desire to be consistent with nomenclature of local macroinvertebrates.

We wanted to set-up a “round robin” exchange of macroinvertebrate samples among attendees.
