III. RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES Fabia Kit is an electrically operated mechanism for opening and closing the front window of the Skoda Fabia. For full functionality of the system is necessary to use the control switches. Recommended for using the switches SW FABIA. NOTE: SW FABIA is not included of FABIA KIT. Placing and installation SW FABIA Follow these instructions. - Pull out the glove box above the control of heating, as shown at pic. No.4. Into the glove box insert FABIA SW and drill four holes 1 mm in diameter (see pic.Nr.5), to join the both parts. - After drilling all holes, pull the FABIA SW, drag the wiring harness into the glove box from the actuators and plug it into the connectors from the switches. Power cable pull switches from glove box and connect them as the wiring diagram.After the connecting wires plug the connectors into switches and put back SW FABIA into glove box. Into the drilled holes fasten the screws as shown the picture No.6. NOTE: Removing upholstery, mounting actuators and cabling in the driver’s door and passenger side is identical. Connecting the wiring harness - connect the additional wiring harness from one side to the connector on the ca- bling, which is leading from the actuator and connect the other side to the switch SW FABIA - wiring harness drag through the rubber grommet inside the door (see pic. 3). - the cabling drag through the interior door to door´s grommet and to the inner part vehicle under the dashboard to the central panel above the heating control. There will be connected to the switch SW FABIA. - after fitting the actuator and wiring harness connected to a switch SW FABIA. To test the correct functioning of the mechanism. - close the hole in the upholstery of crank the manual windows with the blinder and put back the upholstery on the vehicle door. II. SYSTEM DESCRIPTION FABIA KIT device is electric windows designed for vehicle SKODA Fabia with 12V supply voltage and serves to increase the comfort of vehicle control. The kit is designed to control the two front windows. Device replaces the manual windows in the vehicle. To this device is necessary to connect the switches of the control motors FABIA SW. The Fabia Kit can be connected with the roll up the window module (eg when you arm the vehicle,windows are roll up automatically) or with module one touch control of windows (to open or close the window only press the appropriate button once). PACKAGE CONTENTS • 2x electric motor with gear mechanism •2x cabling • 2x covers I. MOUNTING DESCRIPTION Removing upholstery - from the bottom part of padding unscrew 3pcs srews - remove the doorknob of the window control. Push out a belaying ring from the doorknob upwards from it. Watch out for plastics located on the bottom part of the belaying ring. There are for determining the direction offset of doorknob. - Demount the upper handle. Without breaking open, pull it and up. If you fail to fully pull it out, don´t do it hardly. Pull it up higher to get to the screws and pull out the second longer part of the handle. This part can get after the upholstery demounting. - to demount a upper longer part of handle, pull out the handles towards the car and up. - unsrew 3 pcs screws holding a handle - demount the cover of the control mirror next to the door opening lever. Remove the screw holding a door opening mechanism. Actuator mounting - demount the mechanism of manual windows by unscrewing three screws as shown at pic. No.1 - unscrew five screws on the actuator as shown at pic. No.2, which will release the plastic holder of actuator - fix the plastic holder actuator to the original holes, where was mounted manual windows mechanism - to attach the plastic holder, use screws that were used to fix the manual windows mechanism - gear actuator mechanism fit to the original mechanism in the door and fasten 5 screws into the plastic actuator holder as shown at pic. Note: If the window freeze up, do not try to open it by using power windows control to avoid its damage. After it is fully defrost, you can use the power windows again. Placing and installation SW FABIAFollow these instructions.
