1965• Year of foundation.• Hydraulic technology

was applied to doorsand gates.

1970• FAAC created the

automation market forresidential use.

1979• The first technical

training courses wereheld.

• FAAC AG was set up (Switzerland)

1981• FAAC France was set

up.

1983• The first control unit with

microprocessor wasproduced.

1984• The 402 model was

created, a milestone in the history of automation.

1985• FAAC UK was set up.

1988• FAAC International was

set up (USA).

1989• FAAC Electronics (IRL)

was acquired where allcontrol units and electronic accessories are designed and produced.

1990• FAAC SA was set up

(Spain).

1994• Launch of its own

automatic sliding doorsproduct range.

• Acquisition of Genius, specialized in manufacturing ofelectromechanicalautomation.

1996• The CAD 3D with

software PRO and T3 was introduced (amongthe first companies in Italy).

1999• Acquisition of Spazio Italia,

company specialized in pedestrian access control

2000• FAAC created the first

miniaturised transmitter.

2002• The subsidiaries in Poland,

Scandinavia, Benelux and Shanghai entered the FAAC Group.

• Acquisition of Voltec (FRA), specialized in automatedsystems for window shutters.
