It has been a difficult year for many, and I hope 2021 will bring relief, comfort and better times for those who have suffered these past months. MTAS has not held our usual exhibitions or functions but we have tried to be positive and modify our ways to continue to meet and create within the limits im- posed on us. For that I would like to thank our hard- working committee and volunteers for helping us through these tough times. We do need our members to help keep us going, to foster art in the Hawkesbury, to build our reputation as an art society and, of course, to help us provide opportunities for you to exhibit and sell your work. The MTAS gallery has seen several new hangings this year and supported our Spring Affair exhibition and many thanks to Julie Simmons for her astute judging – if I may be permitted to say so – in a less than an ideal sit- uation. We hope to continue the rotating exhibitions in 2021 as well as returning to our usual Autumn Members and Spring Open exhibitions – all things being well. My thanks to Narelle Ward, Geri Jones, Sheila Sharp, Pat Bakarich, Fiona George, Deidre Morrison, Satya Morrison, Annmaree Mitchell, Sally Johnstone, Sharron Whittington, Sheilana Prosper, Pat Latta and everyone who has helped us throughout the year, MTAS could not have thrived this year without you. My thanks also to all our members who helped throughout the year and to those whose work has made the MTAS gallery a great place to visit in Richmond. I wish you and your families all the best for the holiday season, please keep safe and well.
