Inspect all hydraulic hoses and connections for leaks or bad hoses and fittings

Inspect and confirm all dead ends are secure

Inspect and confirm all pins are secure and lubricated

Inspect boom for deformed, damaged or corroded lattice

FORMCHECKBOX

Move all control valve levers fully in both directions to verify ease of operation and handles Dead Man back to its neutral position

Inspect crane hooks for deformation or cracks. Discard all hooks with 15% in excess of original throat openings, or 10 degree twist for original plane.

Inspect all electrical apparatus for malfunctioning signs of excessive wear, dirt, moisture.

Test horn and Gaitronics.

Verify Weight Load Indicator is fully functional

Verify load rating chart is in place and legible

START THE CRANE ENGINE AND RECORD OPERATING HOURS ABOVECOMMENTS / CORRECTIVE ACTIONS

Record oil pressure of engine at idle

Record coolant temperature

FORMCHECKBOX

Verify engine coolant for -20 Degrees F

Record staring pressure after system recharge

Re-inspect all hoses and fittings and hydraulic system for leaks

Record hydraulic system filter pressure

SAFETY CHECKSCOMMENTS / CORRECTIVE ACTIONS

Lift boom until upper limit kick-out safety valve stops the boom. Record boom angle

FORMCHECKBOX

Lower boom to 45 degrees. Lower and raise the load hoist and auxiliary hoist. Verify anti-two blocking valves are functioning. Record comments
