1550 nm

Safe & Secure

1550 nm wavelength allows increased power of the transmission

beyond those levels achievable by 700-900 nm systems, while remaining

Class 1M eye-safe.

An additional benefit of 1550 nm transmission is the fact that 1550 nm

light is undetectable by night-vision equipment, while 700-900 nm light is

detected by night-vision equipment.

Wavelengths longer than 1400 nm

Light is safely absorbed in cornea and lens

CORNEA

LENS RETINA LENS RETINA

CORNEA

Wavelengths shorter than 1400 nm

Light focuses on retina and can cause damage
