HighlightsChurch Charge Conference - Today

After worship today, come to Simkins Hall in The Shelby Center for the annual Church Charge Conference, a light brunch, and a celebration of this year’s accomplishments. The Youth will be selling Cakes for a Cause. This year the funds will support the Unatti Foundation, which provides basic needs to orphaned children in Nepal.

Fireside Room Photo Exhibit & Silent AuctionVisit the Fireside Room for an amazing photography exhibit of Haiti, taken by former Haiti work team members. Each piece is part of a silent auction to raise funds for the 2014 work team.

Parent Education NightThe First UMC Preschool and Family Services of Santa Monica presents: Hot Topics: Can’t vs. Won’t: Why Do Children Do What They Do? with Nora Daley, MFT on Tuesday November 12 at 6 p.m. in Simkins Hall in The Shelby Center. Children’s Book Drive Phase 2 The 2012 Children’s Book Drive benefitted the children’s section of the church library with 74 new books. Help the church meet its second phase goal: 50 new books by December. Book lists and opportunities to donate are on the church website under the Children & Families section.

Christmas Celebration Concert“An Evening of Carols, Etc.,” featuring Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, takes place Sunday December 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Sounds of the season will include the Chancel Choir, organist Ty Woodward, Mark Twain Ringers, harpist Amy Wilkins, and organist Weicheng Zhao. Tickets will be availabe at the door.

HighlightsChurch Charge Conference - Today

After worship today, come to Simkins Hall in The Shelby Center for the annual Church Charge Conference, a light brunch, and a celebration of this year’s accomplishments. The Youth will be selling Cakes for a Cause. This year the funds will support the Unatti Foundation, which provides basic needs to orphaned children in Nepal.

Fireside Room Photo Exhibit & Silent AuctionVisit the Fireside Room for an amazing photography exhibit of Haiti, taken by former Haiti work team members. Each piece is part of a silent auction to raise funds for the 2014 work team.

Parent Education NightThe First UMC Preschool and Family Services of Santa Monica presents: Hot Topics: Can’t vs. Won’t: Why Do Children Do What They Do? with Nora Daley, MFT on Tuesday November 12 at 6 p.m. in Simkins Hall in The Shelby Center. Children’s Book Drive Phase 2 The 2012 Children’s Book Drive benefitted the children’s section of the church library with 74 new books. Help the church meet its second phase goal: 50 new books by December. Book lists and opportunities to donate are on the church website under the Children & Families section.

Christmas Celebration Concert“An Evening of Carols, Etc.,” featuring Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, takes place Sunday December 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Sounds of the season will include the Chancel Choir, organist Ty Woodward, Mark Twain Ringers, harpist Amy Wilkins, and organist Weicheng Zhao. Tickets will be availabe at the door.
