cover of my magazine because it

is an attractive image. The image is

attractive because of the lighting in

the photo is very complimentary to

the model. The expression on the

models face is very fitting for the

purpose of the magazine which is

a magazine for teenagers for prom.

The model is making direct address

with the camera which is following

the codes & conventions of a

generic magazine cover. Direct

address has to be made as it makes

the audience feel like the image is

looking at them.

This image could be used for the

cover of my magazine because it

is an attractive image. The model is

making direct address with the

audience and his head is perched

upwards, which signifies the

dominance of the model. The

colour of this image is a very

simple black and white, which

makes the model stand out even

more. For the target audience of

teenagers it is very appropriate

because the model himself is a

teenager and the theme of the

magazine is prom for teenagers.

cover of my magazine because of

the action in the photograph, the

model is pulling his overcoat down

and his watch is showing, this

signifies he cares about his

appearance and he looks smart.

The fact that the model looks smart

is very appropriate to the theme of

the magazine as it is prom themed.

the action in the photograph, the

putting the suite jacket behind his

hands so we can see more of his

important as it follows the codes

and conventions of a magazine

image is very simple and the image

looks very black & white which is

important as it doesn’t draw any

because that is the main focus of

it attracts the audience’s eye there

This image is very attractive and

could be used for the cover of my

magazine. A camera mid shot is

used to so that the audience can

see the whole costume of the

model and the action he is

performing – which is putting on a

suit jacket. The model is making

which is important as it makes the

feel more involved and the model

has clearly styled his hair so he

looks smart which fits with the

theme of the magazine. The colour

of the image is predominantly black

& white which causes the model to

stand out even more, it is very

This is the image I have chosen for

the cover of my magazine. In this

shot the model is facing forward,

which I believe is better than some

of my other images because it

makes the model more opening

than if he was to the side, this

combined with direct address is a

good feature.

This photo is also my favourite

because of the lighting on the face,

the model has his face a bit further

forward so that the lighting is

focused on his face and this means

that the audiences eyes will be

drawn there first which is

important. The models hair also

looks very stylish in this

photograph, that is important

because it adds to how

sophisticated the model is.
