• Department-wide conference on promotion & tenure held

• Monthly department-wide research conferences began Feb. 2013

• Emphasis on junior faculty presenting their research

• Development of more structured mentorship for selected faculty

• Identify and encourage more opportunities for collaborative research between divisions and departments

CLINICAL RESEARCH

• Develop common areas of mentored clinical research among clinical faculty focused on relevant challenges faced during practice

• Individual courses in Epidemiology and Statistics at UB are available (SPM)

• Formal MS degree in Epidemiology: Clinical Research Track

• Train select clinical faculty as hospital-based and clinic-based leaders in QI and outcomes research
