Who cares about tax risk?Unsurprisingly the answer is more people than ever before. Of course the Head of Tax, CFO and Audit Committee all have key roles to play in managing tax risk. However, increasingly responsibility for this area is extending to Non-Executive Directors, Investor Relations, Heads of Risk and Chief Information Officers. Here are some questions that other organisations have been asking themselves. If you’re someone who cares about tax risk, could you answer these questions for your organisation?

1. What are the most significant tax risks in your global business?

2. What was the outcome the last time the effectiveness of your organisation’s controls over tax risk was tested?

3. How aligned are your finance and business processes when it comes to the management of tax risk?

4. What tax risk assessment have you undertaken for the impact of recent regulatory and business changes on your organisation?

5. How much tax did your organisation pay last year and where?

6. What do your external tax communications say about your organisation?

If you are interested in a meeting to discuss your approach and our experience of working with other organisations, please contact us.
