Primaniyarta Award is the highest award given by the Government of Indonesia for best performing export companies. It is awarded by the President of The Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. On October 2015, PT Ungaran Sari Garments received The Primaniyarta Awards from The President of The Republic Indonesia in Jakarta. The award was received directly by Maniwanen as The Chairman of Busana Apparel Group, accompanied by Pong Nugroho as The Director of Busana Apparel Group, Nur Arifin, Cipto Santoso and Legowo as the representatives of the management. The assessment includes competitiveness, product quality and price, customer satisfaction, the ability of exporters to penetrate through distribution channels built in destination countries that has brought PT Ungaran Sari Garments to be the winner of this award. As a symbolic gratitude and appreciation for exceptional effort of all leaders, employees, buyers and business partners, PT Ungaran Sari Garments published this award through advertorial in two national newspapers, Bisnis Indonesia and The Jakarta Post. This is the fifth Primaniyarta Award received by PT Ungaran Sari Garments. Previously we have been awarded in 1996, 2002, 2006 and 2008.

PT Ungaran Sari Garments was awarded for The Best Exporter Award in August 2015 from the Province of Central Java. World AIDS Day

As a company that is active in the prevention and mitigation of HIV AIDS, PT Ungaran Sari Garments carried out a series of activities to commemorate World AIDS Day in December 2015. The activities were blood donation with 1061 total donors, including 188 employees as a new donor. Due to increased awareness from the activities of Human Resources team, there is a significant increase in the number of donors compared with the last implementation of blood donation in June 2015 with 644 donors. Two employees of PT Ungaran Sari Garments, Arif Baniyanto and Dwi Setiawan also received recognition from the Red Cross Indonesia and were awarded by Chairman of The Red Cross Indonesia of Semarang District as an active donor who has donated blood 25 times.

Other activities were training and socialization to employees about HIV Aids. A total of 104 employees participated in training and participants are given an opportunity to write a prayer and hope for people with HIV Aids in the Tree of Hope. Expected by increasing employee awareness about the dangers of HIV Aids followed by increasing of concern to help prevent the spread of HIV Aids without reducing the concern and sympathy to the people living with HIV Aids.

Technical Training by PVH Indonesia

Working closely with PVH for PVH Listen Program, on November 2015 PT Ungaran Sari Garments alongwith PVH Indonesia organized technical training for PVH factories in PT Ungaran Sari garments. This training was delivered by Coats as thread supplier and Groz Beckert as needle supplier. The topic of the training was “The Technology of Threads and Seams – Right Needle in Processing Knitwear and Fine Woven Fabric”. This training was attended by 54 of participants who are representatives of 8 garment companies supplying for PVH, consist of Production Manager, Factory Manager, Technical Manager, Head Mechanic, Sewing Factory In-Charge and AQM – QM. The aim of this training is to harmonize the quality standards of PVH QA Teams with the teams in factory and to expand knowledge of seewing techniques, mechanical engineering and mechanics. All of participants were present at this two days training, felt the benefits of sharing information and knowledge are given.

Pringapus Project Groundbreaking

As the embodiment of the company’s vision “To be the leading provider integrated solutions in the world of lifestyle and fashion”, PT Ungaran Sari Garments continued to expand new factory of Pringapus unit 6 and 7 ground breaking ceremony on November 2015 by the Head of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board, Franky Sibarani along with Maniwanen - Chairman of Busana Apparel Group, Pong Nugroho – Director of Busana Apparel Group and Antony T. P. – CEO of Busana Apparel Group. Tree planting was also done on this occasion by Franky Sibarani and Maniwanen as a symbol of the hope that with the construction of buildings 6 and 7, PT Ungaran Sari Garments can continue to grow and remain committed to protect the environment.

New factories Pringapus 6 amd 7 are designed to meet LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification criteria from U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Design and construction practices are aimed to reduce negative impacts on the environment and the occupants, salient features include energy efficiency, utilization of day light and natural ventilation, water efficiency (reduce, recycle, reuse), indoor air quality, connected to environment and renewable energy.

Local Community Care

HERproject for Kindergarten School Care

Indonesia launched The National Dental Health Month every year from September 12 to November 28. On this occasion, HERproject PT Ungaran Sari Garments participated by giving socialization to Nusa Indah kindergarten studentd. It is located in Ngempon for Kindergarten School Care. Kindergarten students as many as 65 students were given an explanation with animated videos and practice how to brush correctly and maintaining the teeth to be healthy from the dentist, peer educator of HERproject and a team of teachers. After the socialization, children were given a set of toothbrush, toothpaste and tooth brushing glass.
