The teaser trailer starts with the company involved in making the film. It cuts to the first scene. The house looks very white and old. It fades to the next scene, which juxtaposes with the previous scene. This scene is dull and dark. The score is constantly and the rhythm is slow and regular. There is a voice over which talks about the weather forecast.

The next shot is in the same place as the first one. A man walks with a gun. A gun is a convention of thriller and this makes the audience worry. The medium shot of the man allows us to examine him. There is also the first title.

The next scene is in the same house. The medium shot allows us to see the two people on the sofa. We can see they are really cold, which links in with the voiceover. The second title is shown with a young girl and a man. They are staring outside the window. This makes us wonder what they are looking at. The short take of the man with blood (a convention of horror) on his face grabs our attention because he is injured. The score fades.

After the short take, there are shots of people panicking and running away. This makes us wonder what is going on. Dark lighting is used and is a convention of horror. This makes us pay attention to what is going on. There is screaming, which is a convention. This type of sound has been used to create a tense atmosphere.
