Students without 6.0 units of first‐year university level Biology, equivalent to Queen’s Biology 102 and 103, may wish to apply for Summer admission to Queen’s where they could take Biology 102 and 103 through Queen’s Distance Studies.  Students must earn a mark of a Queen’s B in Biology 103 to progress in the Biology Degree Plan.* 

Biology and Mathematics   2.6  6.0 units of first‐year university level Mathematics or Statistics with a mark of a Queen’s C. AND 6.0 units of first‐year university level Biology, equivalent to Queen’s Biology 102 and 103, with a mark of a Queen’s B.

Students are unable to access any program that is closed (not listed on above chart) or closes subsequently at the Specialization, Major, Medial or Minor level even if they have completed the necessary gateway courses and have a competitive mark. 

*Should a student be admitted to the Summer term and need to take a pre‐requisite course for admission to a particular degree Plan, they must earn the set mark in the course to progress into the specific degree Plan.  Should they not earn the required mark, students could retake the course or change to another degree Plan that is accepting students (open degree Plans) and for which they meet the admission requirements in their admission category (internal, external etc.).
