Better Interreg governance: why is it needed?

• To reduce border obstacles – mainly those of administrative orlegal nature

- Evidence for EU internal borders (and inspiration for external ones): the Cross-Border Review exercise (https://ec.europa.eu/regional_policy/en/policy/cooperation/european-territorial/cross-border/review/)

• To enhance building of trust between citizens and institutionsacross borders
