Heritage Millwork Inc was established in the spring of 1997 in Ramsey, Minnesota. Along with a new building and a dedicated staff of experienced, ambitious employees HMI soon became a viable supplier in the market place. Since our inception we have seen one of the biggest building booms in history as well as the worst housing market since the Great Depression. The one thing that remained constant was our commitment to both our vendors and customers. Heritage will continue to supply quality products and service to our customers. HMI has expanded it territories that now include Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota. We have developed long term relationships and partnered with the best suppliers possible that will assure HMI to continue to have consistent quality products for our customers. Painting of exterior door frames and door frame trim is eliminated with the use of FrontLine aluminum clad. This attractive heavy duty aluminum clad is maintence free, and works perfectly with new or existing construction. Available in seven stock colors, and three clad profiles - white, sandstone, almond, green, terratone, bronze and bahama brown. Color sample chips available. Special order colors include beige, eggshell and wineberry.

Heritage Millwork also offers a variety of Garage Door Clad to match your Heritage Craft Entry door.

Ultimate performance for your Heritage Craft double door entry system. The patented three-point sealing system eliminates water and air infiltration common with other systems.

Flip Lever. A patent pending flip lever allows both top and bottom astragal flush bolts to be engaged in one simple motion.

Floating Boot. When the lever is flipped, the spring-loaded bolt is secured in place. When the lever is release, the blot lifts clear of the threshold, eliminating wear, to maintain a lasting seal that won’t fail after continuous use.

Upgrade your security performance with multi-point locking hardware. Options can be found on pages 5 & 6.

All-composite substrate. Z-Series Sills give you the best combination of performance and value. The all composite substrate won’t rack, warp or rot. EVER.

Narrow synthetic high dam cap.The cap resists fading and wear, and won’t warp or rot. A built-in seal keeps out air and water, even in the most severe conditiona. Narrow cap width ensures the drip edge on the bottom deflects water away from the cap.

LOW-E GLAssLow-E is a very thin, almost invisible layer, applied to glass to increase its thermal efficiency. Low-E stands for low emissivity.

Low-E is designed to deflect Ultra-Violet and infrared radiation. In colder climates, the low-E is applied to the interior, inner-most surface to deflect heat back into the home, helping to reduce heating costs.

Choosing windows and doors that have Low-E coating(s) on the glass can significantly reduce your energy costs each year. A window or door’s energy efficiency is measured by its U-Value and SHGC ratings, which are directly effected by Low-E. When considering and comparing products that best meet your insulating needs, be sure to check these two ratings.

SmartFrame finishing requires - No prep, no adhesion promoter, and no special primersThis state-of-the-art sealing system eliminates squeeze out. With SmartFrame you can be assured a watertight compression seal, able to withstand extreme weather conditions. SmartFrame’s seal is precision applied to exacting specifications. The seal has excellent elastic memory properties like a coil spring. It constantly pushes against the door or glass causing a compression seal - watertight.

Caming - the metal work that joins glass - is an element of most designs. Look for designs with caming options that coordinate with your door hardware, light fixtures, or interior furnishings.

LIGHT & PRIvACyEvery design varies widely in the amount of light they bring in and the amount of privacy they afford. Each ODL® light is given a privacy rating from 1 to 10, allowing you to choose the right amount of light or opacity for your entry way. The higher the number the more opaque the glass is. Privacy ratings and diagrams like the one above are listed with every light family.

These premium exterior wood doors are chemical free, come with a 20 year warranty and they DO NOT require an overhang. These door have been tested to the Extreme. The 20 year warranty covers warping, twisting, cupping and rotting. Because of it’s solid wood construction, there are no veneers to delaminate.

The Torrefied Collection is available in a variety of wood species, Douglas Fir, Mahogany and Poplar, as well as many different door designs with and without glass.

Overhang Coefficient(requirements) ExposureStandard exterior wood doors must be protected from the elements. Sun, rain, and snow can break down the finish on your door and cause performance issues.

Here are the industry standards of the required overhang of a wood exterior door. If your door faces North or East, the minimum required overhang is equal to one half the distance from the sill to the over-hang. If your door faces South or West, the minimum overhang requirement is equal to the distance from the sill to the overhang. (See illustration)

The Torrefied Collection of exterior doors, does not require an overhang. If your location does not allow for the proper overhang for a standard wood door, please select a door from one of our four Torrefied wood species.
