We developed the Vacancy ending of there opening 3 minutes to match the conventions of opening as it leaves it on a cliff hanger, not really establishing an narrative leaving it ambiguous.

The scene finishes with the car driving, possibilities of any carry on for the film.

This leaves on a cliff-hanger as it isn’t clear if Aimee’s going to die or manage to get away.

VacancyApplebyAlso the format of the main characters we developed from Vacancy, the Victim being a man, because it symbolizes dominance. Also the victims being one boy and one girl so the audience can relate.
