Supervision and Mentoring of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Students and Emerging Researchers Expression of Interest Form About the Lowitja Institute The Lowitja Institute is Australia’s national institute for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research. The Institute will build on over 20 years of work and continue to focus on research covering all areas that contribute to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, including the social and cultural determinants of health and wellbeing. The Institute will also focus on supporting the development of our next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health researchers and research teams. About Supervision and Mentoring with the Lowitja Institute Scholars The Lowitja Institute’s scholarship programs has funded more than 100 students to undertake PhDs, masters by research and coursework, and cadetships. We want to ensure our students and scholars continue to have access to the best mentoring and supervision support from researchers and health leaders across Australia and abroad. As such, we are seeking expressions of interest from those experienced working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research to supervise and/or mentor our next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health researchers and scholars. Therefore, we are also seeking expressions of interest from experienced Researchers in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research to mentor our up-and-coming Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health researchers and research teams.

Once we receive your EOI form, you will be added to Lowitja Institute’s Supervisor and Mentoring database, and we will be in contact with you if any scholars or emerging researchers require mentoring or supervision support matching your experience and research focus.
