Climax

Narrator: Passed out on his desk, the captain lay drunk in his quarters. The time for action was now. The father and son broke into his room, swords drawn. Chuck approached the unconscious captain with a stealthy demeanor. He placed the cutlass inches from the man’s throbbing throat. Moving the sword closer and closer to the captain’s body, he abruptly stumbled over a whiskey bottle; crashing into a nearby bookcase. Suddenly alarmed, the captain leaped from his chair.

Captain: “What in tarnations is going on?”

Falling Action

Narrator: The crew was quite easily subdued into following the new regime of Chuck and Shamus. Upon receiving authority, Shamus announced their new directive:

Shamus: “From now on, we shall spend our days fighting those who we formally represented; those who waste their lives in the pursuit of greed and violence.”

Resolution

Narrator: This virtuous directive was well enforced and long lived. For the rest of their lives, the vessel saved those who were weak from oppression. However, it came at a cost. They lived a life of relative solitude, albeit the company of the crew. The life of poverty which they chose was not the most fortuitous, but it was the most meaningful.

Theme: Nothing is more important than family.
