Exploring Science Teaching in Pakistan

• In 2005 and 2006 established contacts in Pakistan• Traveled in December 2006 to Islamabad, Karachi, Hyderabad• Professors Pervez Hoodbhoy, Isa Daudpota, many others..)
– Zafar Junejo at Trust for Rural Development (NGO)
• Met with a group of ~20 young people • Mostly rural teachers : primarily young women• Spent a day and a half• Talking with them (half english half urdu)• All evening and next morning• Meeting them made the trip worthwhile
