Practical (Health)

Malaria -> Malarone (1 day before dept. until 1 week after arrival back in BRU)

Bilharzia -> parasites in the Nile and Lake Victoria, possibility of infection only if ones swims in the water (if suspected infection, tablets to be taken 3 months after return)

Sun -> sunscreen with high protection factor

Dehydration -> high temperatures and high humidity, drink a lot of water (camelbag, bidons, etc.)!!!

Tsetse flies -> mainly on last day in the National Park. Best prevention is light-colored clothing (white) and the use of Dettol and/or Deet

Hygiene -> to prevent infections, the frequent use of alcohol gels is required to disinfect the hands
