Gyprock® CorniceGyprock cornice is designed to provide an attractive finish at the junction of the wall and ceiling. It can be installed on Gyprock plasterboard, fibrous plaster or cement rendered surfaces. Cornice is composed of gypsum plaster encased in a strong linerboard, and comes in a range of designs.

Alto™

Gyprock Alto cornice presents a modern profile with smooth surfaces making it the perfect choice for contemporary living. A clever 10mm step along the ceiling edge creates a crisp shadow that perfectly complements a modern

designer space. The 90mm cornice profile delivers a simple and striking presence to any room.

Aria™

Aria features a slimline profile with a subtle centre deflection design. A compact 75mm cornice, Aria echoes contemporary architecture at its best. The smooth, streamlined profile of Aria is perfect for spaces that define contemporary elegance. This

timeless cornice design never goes out of style.

TrioWith its dramatic 3-step profile and strong, modern lines, Gyprock Trio cornice looks right at home in ultra modern spaces, but it’s also a subtle inclusion for a more traditional home. Featuring a compact, 75mm profile, its symmetrical lines suit all ceiling heights and it’s an

ideal cornice for open-plan areas as well as smaller spaces. Installing a Trio cornice is a simple way to add a clever design contrast and balance classic and contemporary elements.

Concerto™

One of the most versatile cornice designs in the range, Concerto combines smooth curves, distinctive lines and sharp centre step to make this 90mm cornice the ideal way to introduce a more formal style into a bedroom or living space. The dramatic shadowing effect it creates

changes the mood of the room at various times of the day – by the evening, you will see a delightful shadow on the Concerto cornice that instantly adds depth of character to the room. Concerto can be installed with the stepped edge either facing up or down to create a completely different effect.

Symphony™

Inspired by European master craftsmen, Gyprock Symphony cornice hits all the right notes with its timeless design. More traditional in style, this 75mm cornice combines a strong shadow line and multi-dimensional curves to create an attractive wave effect. If elegance

defines your space, Symphony is the cornice choice for you. The softer curves of the Symphony cornice also make it ideal for rooms that have lower ceilings.

Tempo™

Clean surfaces and subtle lines make Gyprock Tempo cornice a popular choice for contemporary interiors that require a crisp designer edge in every element of the room. Tempo’s multiple shadow lines and 90mm profile enhance the sense of space in a modern home making it

ideal for open-plan living Tempo can be used in retrofit applications over 55mm Cove cornice which makes it the perfect option to add style when you are freshening up an existing room.

CoveThe simple curved design of Gyprock Cove has made it the standard for Australian builders. This functional profile is available in a range of sizes and creates a gentle transition between the wall and ceiling without making a major statement.

Gyprock All-Purpose CompoundsGyprock’s range of all-purpose compounds can be used for all three coats in the jointing system. These are specially formulated to combine the strength of a base coat with the fine finish of a topping compound. They are all compounds that dry through evaporation.

Gyprock® Total Coat-Lite – a lightweight all-purpose compound available in both dry powder and pre-mixed forms.

Gyprock Easy-Flow™ – a lightweight all-purpose compound available in a pre-mixed form.

Gyprock® Pre-Mixed Total Joint Cement – a heavyweight all-purpose compound available in a pre-mixed form.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENTGyprock® is committed to sustainable building through the development of low environmental impact products and systems, environmentally responsible manufacturing and a focus on measurable targets for waste reduction, water and energy savings.

Environmentally responsible productsGyprock plasterboard products are manufactured from gypsum, paper and a small amount of additives. Gypsum is a naturally occurring, non-toxic sedimentary rock. The paper liner board used for plasterboard and cornice is made from 100% recycled newspapers and cartons. The energy used in the manufacture of Gyprock is amongst the lowest of any building product1. Emissions are limited to water vapour and products of natural gas consumption.

In 2008, Gyprock was the first Australian plasterboard manufacturer to have a plasterboard product certified under the Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) label. The GECA label indicates the environmental performance of a product

from a whole of product life perspective for consumer goods and is awarded to products that meet voluntary environmental performance standards which have been created and assessed in conformance to international environmental labelling standards.

Waste Management and RecyclingGyprock recycles more than 95% of its manufacturing waste either back into the production process or through conversion to by-products such as soil conditioners for the agricultural industry.

Also, for over 10 years, Gyprock has supported a plasterboard recycling service in the major residential building markets along the eastern seaboard.

Energy & Water EfficiencyGyprock seeks to minimise the impact of greenhouse gas emissions by improving energy efficiency across its network of manufacturing facilities.

Gyprock recognises the requirement to use water efficiently. Our storm water and groundwater management, together with the treatment and disposal of water used at our manufacturing facilities, is central to our on-site environmental plans.

Community EngagementEngaging with our community and fostering strong relations is of high priority for CSR and Gyprock. Some examples of our community involvement include:

• Major sponsor of the CreekWATCH program in the Oxley catchment. As part of this program we planted

300 trees and removed harmful weeds at our Coopers Plains site, which runs adjacent to Stable Swamp creek.

• Donating Gyprock and Cemintel™ Fibre Cement products and installation services to Habitat for Humanity to build houses for those in need.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE BUILDING INDUSTRY

CSR is a member of the GBCA, an association that fosters environmental sustainability amongst commercial building and construction industry companies. The GBCA’s mission is to develop a sustainable property industry for Australia and drive the adoption of green building practices through market-based solutions.

In 2014, Gyprock signed on as one of 14 industry ‘Thought Leaders’ that work together with the GBCA to establish the future direction for Australia’s only national voluntary comprehensive environmental rating system for buildings - Green Star. The objectives for Thought Leaders include:

• Establishment of a more efficient online mode of delivery of Green Start rating tools

• Creation of a single cross-sector rating tool for building design and construction

• Implementation of new initiatives to improve the Green Star certification process

HIA GreenSmart is a voluntary, hands-on approach to residential building that focuses on educating builders, designers, product manufacturers and consumers about the benefits of an environmentally responsible approach to business. CSR has been accredited as a GreenSmart Leader. A GreenSmart Leader demonstrates leadership and commitment towards environmental initiatives in its Australian and international operations and has commitment to the HIA GreenSmart Code of Practice. Our involvement with this confirms CSR’s willingness to improve the environmental performance of Australia’s housing industry.
