Definition of Technostress
Technostress is the negative
psychological link between people and the
introduction of new technologies

Remember the
simple life, before
technology? That was
a long, long time ago.
Technology, in various
forms, has been in our
lives for many years.
Beginning of Technology Addiction
During the early 90s, people especially
youngsters, were hooked in front of the
television that had impacted our personal
lives so much but now it is the computers
(can add mobiles too) that play this role.
People have become technocrats and want
to accomplish their every work with a single
click.
Technostress makes
the people very angry
and frustrated. Lacking
the power to master the
technology within a given
period and spending
hours in front of the
computers creates
psychological stress and
creates a hell lot of health
problems,
The Effect of Technostress
A study conducted
by Microsoft in the
1990s reveal that 59%
of the respondents
among 3000 adults got
angry with their
computers.

include:
Pain in the
eye, fatigue, redness in the
eye, headache, frequent
changes in the eye power, neck
and back ache,migraine, pain in

• Talking to online friends all the time
• Getting less sleep than normal
• Lots of computer programs running in your
mind
• Trying to hide the computer screen when
some body ask what they are doing
• Lots of email received and sent.
How to Avoid Technostress?
• Getting adequate training for newly
introduced technology
• Proper sitting position and holding
the mouse properly
• Adequate sleep for 7-8 hours
• Proper diet
• Regular exercise to neck and back
