Real Time Location Systems (RTLS)

Eximia has implemented very sophisticated and complex precise localization systems based on UWB (Ultra Wide Band) technology developed by Ubisense. The system is capable to provide a precise location and position tracking of objects, people, vehicles, etc in Real Time with 30cm. tolerance in 3D, open or closed space. RTLS solutions have been delivered to solve problems in safety and security, production process control and quality, supply chain accuracy, vehicle positioning control, critical medical devices control, warehouse product positioning and more. The RTLS system function on ultra short waves and wide band RFID technology. For monitoring and controlling, the system uses the Eximia Meerkat Platform, an integration, control, monitoring and visualisation software developed by Eximia. Eximia is the unique exclusive distributor of Ubisense technology in Italy.

Radio Frequency Identification, RFId, exploits the electromagnetic radio waves to read or write data in a microchip through an intelligent programmable device usually called a “reader”, The microchip is connected to a dipole antenna to form a “transponder”, commonly known as a “Tag”. Data stored inside the tag can be read or overwritten many times. The reader detects a tag applied to a product or package or pallet and associates the data received to the specific object. Tags can be applied to people, objects, vehicles.
