Ironhand®
World’s irst soft robotic muscle strengthening systemIronhand is an intelligent, lexible and active exoskeleton which strengthens the grip of theuser and compensates for a potential lack of endurance. Furthermore, Ironhand reduces the own efort which can help prevent strain injuries as well as potential pain.
In addition to the added power and endurance Ironhand is equipped with data capabilities making it possible to run digitalized risk assessment as well as integrate the human into the Industry 4.0 / Factory of the Future concept.
About Bioservo
Bioservo Technologies is a technology and development company that combines medical science with modern robotics. The company is a world leader in portable muscle strengthening systems, i.e. exoskeletons, for people who need extra strength and endurance.
Bioservo Technologies was founded in 2006 through a collaboration between researchers at the Royal Institute of Technology and doctors at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm.

FAULHABER applications
One drive can help turn a life
FAULHABER Drive Systems for bionic hand prostheses
Helping people manage their daily lives is the most important goal in the field of prosthetics. Modern hand prostheses with highly dyna-mic drives in all fingers allow natural and coordinated movements and gripping. An attractive design with realistic proportions, even with delicate hands, offers only extremely limited installation space for the drives. Manufacturers therefore build upon brushed DC motors from FAULHABER.

Inail Direzione centrale assistenza protesica e riabilitazione
Scientific research is an essential element for the continuous improvement of prosthetic
performance and rehabilitative and assistance care; for this reason, Inail1, through the
structures of the Direzione centrale assistenza protesica e riabilitazione2, invests human
and financial resources in robotic research projects and clinical biomedical research.
The Centro Protesi3 in Vigorso di Budrio carries out research aimed at producing and testing
prostheses, orthoses, aids and new advanced technology devices.
The Centro di riabilitazione motoria4 in Volterra carries out activities of development and
experimentation of technologies and innovative methods for neuro-motor rehabilitation.
Collaboration is a key feature of the Inail research involving national and international scientific
partners, such as the IIT-Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Genova and the BioRobotics Institute
of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa.

FATIGUE HAS A NEW ENEMY
Enter the Levitate Airframe®
– a wearable, lightweight technology
engineered to improve upper extremity
musculoskeletal health.
The AIRFRAME® transfers the weight of the arms from the shoulders, neck and
upper back to the outside of the hips comfortably distributing the load to reduce
muscle fatigue. Flexible and scalable to individuals of almost any size, it slips
easilyonandoffandmovesseamlesslywith thewearer–without intruding into the
workspace or limiting motion or dexterity. The Airframe® mechanical support
system progressively activates as the arm is raised, and gradually releases as
the arm is lowered, resulting in just the right levelof support –at just the right time.

Quality for life
Ottobock – a family businessGerman global market leader Ottobock stands for high- quality, technologically outstanding solutions in the field of medical technology and has been in business for 100 years. Subsi diaries in more than 57 countries offer “Made in Germany” quality worldwide and employ more than 7,000 people.
About Ottobock IndustrialsCompanies are facing special challenges in view of demo-graphic developments. The rising life expectancy and decreasing birth rate are leading to an aging workforce and a lack of workers. This results in an increased demand for technical solutions that help people to protect their health over the long term as they carry out their everyday working routines. Ottobock Industrials develops precisely such innovative devices for an ergonomic workplace.
Since 2012 the company has been researching innovative solutions to make jobs in industry, logistics and trades more ergonomic. The goal is to provide relief for people who perform physically demanding tasks such as overhead work, thereby creating healthier working conditions.
Paexo ShoulderThe lightest exoskeleton of its kind
The Paexo Shoulder is a passive exoskeleton that supports people who carry out physically demanding tasks with their arms raised on a daily basis. It relieves strain on the shoul-der joints and upper arms, for example overhead work on assembly lines and in the building trade.
Further personal assistive systems and exoskeletons, such as our Paexo Thumb – the smallest exoskeleton in the world – or the Paexo Wrist for support during lifting and holding, are available at our booth.

EXO-H3 The Exo-H3 is the third version of
Technaid’s lower limbs robotic
exoskeleton.
The main advantage of the Exo-H3 is that
it allows the implementation of own
algorithms as well as the application of
different robotic control strategies. This,
together with its ability to adapt to
different subject sizes gives you a
wide range of possibilities
The Exo-H3 also has an Android App
as interface to operate the basic functions of the exoskeleton such us gait
speed, motor assistance or stand up and
sit down commands.
