Berol at The Education Show

When you’re a market leader it’s paramount to stay ahead of the game. That’s why Berol Pens, part of the Parker Pen Group came to Template with an exhibition brief that was slightly outside of the norm.

‘Present our range of colouring and writing products at the Education Show without creating individual sales panels yet still conveying the brand’s core message of encouraging creativity for children of all ages.’

By marrying graphics from existing product packs with pictures of children having fun we created a set of images that were instantly

synonymous with the brief. We then blended the individual images into a composite artwork. The resulting stand was undoubtedly one of the most vibrant in the exhibition.

Finnforest specialise in innovative timber products for numerous applications from industrial design to garden furniture. Template have worked with the company for the last 8 years in creating a brand identity that is now recognised throughout the world. As part of this ongoing brief we have been instrumental in the launch of the Garden Inspirations range of branded fencing and garden products into the UK marketplace.

This involved overseeing this launch of the range at Glee – the UK’s most comprehensive trade show for the garden industry.

By liaising with contractors, supplying exhibition

graphics, advertising and point of sale materials

we delivered a stand that not only grabbed

people’s attention but also conveyed a succinct and clear message.

Finnforest were so pleased with Template’s involvement that we have since designed all the graphics and supporting promotional materials for all their GLEE exhibitions.

EcoBuild is the world’s largest exhibition for sustainable construction. It attracts in excess of 35,000 visitors every year whilst hosting over 1000 exhibitors, so making a lasting impression is imperative from the start.

Finnforest’s engineers created the design for a stand that featured a sweeping piece of precision engineered timber set against a backdrop of printed graphical information. Template produced a computer generated 3D representation of this design so that Finnforest could assess its workability before construction.

Then by working with Finnforest’s build team we helped to fashion a stand that shone with technical elegance yet was visually pleasing and approachable.

Finnforest at The Building Schools Exhibition and Conference

The Building Schools Exhibition and Conference (BSEC) is the leading event for those involved in construction in the education sector. For the last four years Template have produced a series of graphics to promote Finnforest’s products at the show and have worked closely with their specialist exhibition build teams. The results have always been both innovative, exciting and have consistently conveyed the company’s message.

Hip!Ex is the leading exhibition for plumbing and heating apprentices and last year attracted over 2000 of the country’s finest tradesmen and women of the future. First impressions go a long way so establishing a rapport with these trainees early on in their careers is central to Parts Center’s marketing ethos. Template came up with a stand that not only achieved this goal but was also engaging, fun and effective.

The design featured a music festival site resplendent with fake grass from Agripower, a Decathlon pop-up tent and a panoramic landscape.

The apprentices were drawn to the stand with a selection of giveaways that included the chance to win tickets to one of biggest music events on the UK’s festival calendar, Global Gathering.

The Wolseley Group at Installer Live Expo

The Wolseley Group is the world’s number one distributor of heating and plumbing products with a supply network that spans the globe. They asked Template to come up with a design for a combined exhibition stand for two of its leading brands; Parts and Plumb Centers.

We were asked to reflect the synergy between the two brands and in particular highlight the crossover in their mutual customer base. By sharing exhibition space and graphic styles the symbiotic relationship between the two companies was made both visually and commercially apparent.

Template then drew upon their promotional strapline - ‘The whole is greater than the sum of the parts’ and produced a 2m x by 2m 3D vacuum-formed Rubik’s cube which formed a stunning centerpiece to the exhibition stand.
