WELCOME MESSAGEThe Monash Institute for Health and Clinical Education (MIHCE), in association with ASME (Association for the Study of Medical Education) and INReSH (International Network for Researchers in Selection into Healthcare), extend a warm invitation to the second International Selection for the Health Professions Conference (SHPC). Held in the vibrant city of Melbourne, recently judged the world’s most liveable city for the sixth consecutive year, this conference will appeal to academics, clinicians, administrators and students across a broad range of health professions.

Featuring keynote presentations by world leaders involved in recruitment, selection, and workforce planning across the continuum of health professions education and training, this conference will provide a quality forum for discussion and debate around best practice selection processes for the health professions The conference will provide an opportunity for everyone with an interest in selection for health professional training and education to meet, share ideas and network with colleagues from around Australia and the world. You will also have the opportunity to present your company to enthusiastic and interested colleagues.

TERMS AND CONDITIONSThese terms and conditions constitute a contract between you (‘the Exhibitor’)Monash Institute for health and Clinical Education in relation to the use of exhibition space at the 2018 SHPC in Melbourne Australia from 11 to 13 April 2018 (‘the MIHCE/ Conference organisers’). By signing the application form you are indicating your acceptance of these terms and conditions. The expression ‘Exhibitor’ refers to an organisation using space in the Conference Exhibition.

Acceptance and allocation The Conference Organiser reserves the right to accept or reject any application at its absolute and unfettered discretion. Exhibition packages, which may be limited in number, will be generally allocated in the order of the receipt of application forms. Allocation of exhibition packages and booths, regardless of the preference indicated, and alteration of the floor plan is at the discretion of the Conference Organiser, whose decision will be final.

Application and payment To confirm your acceptance of an exhibition package please complete the exhibitor form and send it to [email protected] and specify the package required. A confirmation email will then be sent to you outlining the exhibitor details, along with a tax invoice due within 21 days. If the payment is not received within 21 days of invoice, the package will be released for re-sale. As spaces are strictly limited, submitting your interest in participation does not guarantee a place as an Exhibitor. You will be contacted with a confirmation email to confirm your acceptance as an Exhibitor.

Cancellation policy Cancellations will be accepted in writing only. There are no refunds available for cancellations.

Legal responsibility The Conference Organiser and the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre accept no responsibility for any act, omission or other default on the part of the Exhibitor during, or in connection with, the Conference that results directly or indirectly in any loss, damage, personal injury or death. The Exhibitor agrees to indemnify the Organisers in respect of any claim and demands in respect thereof. The Exhibitor acknowledges that the Organisers are not responsible for any loss or damage to the Exhibitor’s property and that all Exhibitor material and equipment is the sole responsibility of the Exhibitor. The Organisers will not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising out of a breach of this Exhibition contract. In the event that the Conference or Exhibition is cancelled or delayed through no fault of the Organisers, including but not limited to fire, flood, labour disputes, natural disasters, acts of God, civil disorders, riots, insurrections, work stoppages, slowdowns or disputes, or other similar events then the Exhibitor shall not be entitled to any refund or any claim for any loss of damage.

Exhibitor manual An Exhibitor Manual outlining all technical aspects of exhibiting will be circulated no later than 3 months before the Conference. It will include the following:

• Technical details about the venue, final exhibition details andinformation.

• Contractor details, services available to exhibitors.

Exhibitor display rules• The Conference Organiser shall determine the hours during which

the Exhibition shall be conducted and the hours of access forExhibitors, including any variations of access times as may benecessary.

• The allocated exhibition booth must be staffed at all times duringthe exhibition and removal of any exhibition display must notcommence until after the exhibition closes.

• All advertising material, such as banners, must be displayedwithin the designated booth area.

• Excessive noise that inconveniences other exhibitors or theConference must be avoided.

• Exhibitors must not obstruct aisles and walkways.

• While Exhibitors are encouraged to pursue novel methods ofattracting people with their stand, practices disadvantaging otherexhibitors or detracting from the Exhibition are not permitted.

PartnershipsNothing contained in the agreement will be deemed to constitute a partnership, joint venture or agency relationship between you the Conference Organiser. You must not do anything where you will, in any way, be represented that you are a partner of the MIHCE/ Conference Organiser.

Exhibition packages Please refer to the exhibitor packages in this Exhibition Proposal document. Any variations to the description of each package must be as agreed in writing with the Conference Organiser. Exhibition entitlements will not commence until acceptance is confirmed by the Conference Organiser.

Venue The Exhibitor and the agents, contractors and invitees of the Exhibitor are also to observe the rules, regulations and procedures as prescribed by the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Mission statement The Monash Institute for Health and Clinical Education was established in May 2016 to provide innovative and contemporary continuing education for professionals in healthcare delivery, education, and administration. Our programs extend locally and internationally, throughout the vast and well established Monash network.
