Bivariate Hypothesis: The age of a person affects their liking for rap music. As a person gets
older, they do not like rap music. A larger percentage of respondents who are 18-29 dislike rap
music compared to the respondents who do like rap music. Overall the number of respondents
will dislike rap music more than those respondents who like it.
Bivariate Discussion: My findings were similar to my hypothesis. As an individual becomes
older, they do not prefer to listen to rap music. As the number decreases for the amount of

respondents that dont like rap music, the percentage decreases for the respondents who are 40
and older. Due to the fact that most people 40 and older begin to become hard at hearing, they
are unwilling to listen to music that they may not understand.

both tables, the percentage of respondents 40 and older will be relatively stable with the bivariate
table.
Multivariate Discussion: My findings were also similar to my multivariate hypothesis. There
were more black respondents who said they like rap music in comparison to white respondents. I
expected these results rap music is concentrated within the black community than the white
community. There were still more black people who disliked rap music than those who did.
