Resume / Cover Letter (68.5%) assistance was, by far, the most requested appointment / walk-in type. Mock Interviews (10%), and Job / Internship Search (8.5%) were the next most requested. En-gineering students also took advantage of Career Services’ “virtual” interview room, with 31 students booking reservations.

Career Fair Attendance by Major

Typically, Engineering students attend the Engineering Career Fair as well as the Spring Career Fair. The Engineering Career Fair is one of the largest career fairs on campus and is mostly geared toward technical majors. The Fall 2017 Engineering Career Fair hosted 133 employers (a 12.78% decrease to the previous year) and 2,020 students attended. The 2018 Spring Career Fair hosted 125 employers and 1,324 students attended. The Stephenson School of Biomedical Engineering Career Fair attracted three companies and 17 students attended. The chart below shows the attendance broken down by major for the two largest career fairs.

Engineering students also attended the Sooner Showcase (240 Engineering students), and the Gibbs College of Architecture Career & Internship Fair (2 Engineering students).

The College of Architecture Career & Internship Fair hosted 32 companies with 64 students attending. Three companies conducted 15 interviews the day after the fair. Architecture students also attended the Sooner Showcase (3), the College of Engineering Career Fair (8) and the Spring Career Fair (9).

The Construction Science Division hosted two career fairs as well. The fall event attracted 37 employers with 86 students attending, and 64 interviews were conducted by 10 companies. The spring event attracted 35 employers with 72 students attending, and 62 interviews were conducted by 14 companies.

Data is collected utilizing several methods including, but not limited to, in-class surveys, email campaigns, individual department exit interviews/surveys and digital re-search. Data collection starts at the beginning of each academic year and concludes 6 months after May graduation. The Price College of Business graduated 735 students with at least one undergraduate degree in 2017-18. Career Services was able to gather first destination data on 689 of the 735 graduates. The College of Fine Arts had students attend 3 career fairs. The Fall 2017 Sooner Showcase hosted 153 employers and 1,653 students attended. The 2017 Engineering Career Fair hosted 133 employers and 2,020 students attended. The 2018 Spring Career Fair hosted 125 employers and 1,324 students attended. The chart below shows the attendance broken down by major. Also, one (1) Art student attended the Journalism & Mass Communication Career Fair.

• Conducted numerous mock interviews with Fine Arts students to better prepare them for real interviews
