The bio has been increasingly requested (in tandem or prior to resume) by

recruiters on behalf of top executive job search firms. A one page biography is one

the most popular networking tools you can leverage during your job search. The

most coveted career opportunities are not landed through traditional channels. In

fact, many executives have networked their way into newly created positions (or

what I call custom-designed roles).

What is the difference between a bio and a resume? An executive bio conveys your

background in a narrative form that is engaging, crisp, and concise. The bio allows

us to discuss your reputation, history, and values in a more organic manner. It is not

only a great tool to hand to recruiters but also as you network with colleagues or

contacts to explore any possible ventures or employment opportunities.
