Ordered, That following Leader remarks on Thursday, April 26, 2018, the Senate proceed to executive

session and resume consideration of the nomination of Mike Pompeo, of Kansas, to be Secretary of State.

Ordered further, That at 12 noon, notwithstanding the provisions of Rule XXII, there be 4 minutes of

debate, equally divided and that following the use or yielding back of that time, the Senate vote on the motion to

invoke cloture on the Pompeo nomination, and that if cloture is invoked, all time be considered expired and the

Senate vote on confirmation of the nomination without intervening action or debate.

Ordered further, That following disposition of the Pompeo nomination, the Senate resume consideration

of the nomination of Richard Grenell, of California, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the

United States of America to the Federal Republic of Germany, with the time until 1:45 p.m. equally divided in

the usual form, and that at 1:45 p.m., the Senate vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination.

Ordered further, That with respect to the motion to invoke cloture on the Grenell nomination, the

mandatory quorum required under Rule XXII be waived.

Ordered further, That if cloture is invoked, all time be considered expired and the Senate vote on

confirmation of the nomination without intervening action or debate.

Ordered further, That with respect to both nominations, the motions to reconsider be considered made

and laid upon the table and the President be immediately notified of the Senate’s actions. (Apr. 24, 25, 2018.)
