ExciTE® F is a light-curing, single component, fluoride releasingadhesive which is used in combination with the total-etchtechnique. It is employed in the placement of direct restora-tions (composites, compomers) as well as in the adhesiveluting of indirect restorations (all-ceramics, composites) in-volving light-curing.

ExciTE F is available in the unique VivaPen, in bottles and inSoft TouchTM Single Dose vessels.

Strong bond to enamel and dentinA single layer of ExciTE F is enough to establish a long-lasting bond to the tooth structure.

Acetone-free chemistryExciTE F contains ethanol as solvent, which allows theadhesive to be stored for longer periods of time, withoutaffecting its quality or bonding results.

Reduced postoperative sensitivityFluoride release during the first few days after the restorationhas been placed may help prevent postoperative sensitivities.

ExciTE F contains extremely fine fillers (nano fillers). There-fore, it is easy to distribute on the cavity surface in an evenlayer. In addition, a glossy layer becomes visible on the sur-face during application, which allows the uniform coverageof dentin and enamel areas to be visually checked.

Versatile systemProvided that it is previously light-cured, ExciTE F can also beused to place indirect restorations. Its low film thicknessallows ample room for the cement utilized in luting proce-dures.

ExciTE F DSC comprises a special patented applicator, whichis coated with the initiators required for the dual-curingaction. When the applicator is dipped into the adhesive solu-tion, the initiators mix with the adhesive and impart it withthe dual-curing properties.

Dual Cure Single Component

ExciTE F DSC, like ExciTE F, achieves excellent bonding resultsand because of its acetone-free chemistry, it shows very goodstorage stability.

ExciTE F DSC – Dual Cure Single Component – is a dual-curing, fluoride releasing adhe-sive for enamel and for dentin bonding, which is used in combination with the total-etch technique. ExciTE F has been further designed for clinical cases where light cannotbe used for curing or in which chemically curing composites are employed.

The application of ExciTE F DSC is just as easy and efficientas that of the materials used in direct restorative techniques.The Single Dose vessels provide fresh adhesive for everyapplication, without the risk of the adhesive drying out. Whenused in combination with self or dual-curing composites, it isnot necessary to pre-cure ExciTE F DSC as is the case withmany other adhesive systems. Therefore, the fit of therestoration is not compromised.
