Then our interna-tional course Bridging Cultures in Multicultural Rotterdam is the course for you ! This 3-month 20 ECTS course is open to Erasmus exchange students from teacher training programmes (age group 4 to 18) and students of social education, social pedagogy and social work.

Starting date6 February until 7 May 2012, leading to 20 ECTS. With an optional extension of 2 months until 1 July 2012 for an additional 10 ECTS.

LanguageThe working language is English.

ContentThe programme entails a wide range of educatio-nal and social topics, offering you theoretical and practical, interactive, individual and cooperative learning opportunities. The content is arranged along the following learning tracks: Theories of Education and Development, Intercultural Toolbox, Global Citizenship, Group based project assign-ment, Practical fieldwork visits and Dutch classes. The meetings will be chaired by lecturers from different departments within Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.

If you choose to stay 5 months to do some extra, independent project / placement work, we will ar-range your period of study in Rotterdam according to your wishes and fields of interest. It is therefore of major importance that you describe your plans and hopes for your stay very carefully and in detail. CreditsFor the 3-month course: 20 ECTS; if you extend this for 2 more months, you can gain another extra 10 ECTS. HousingThe Student Housing Office of Rotterdam Univer-sity of Applied Sciences will inform students about housing facilities. You will be staying in the City of Rotterdam which has excellent public transport. Do indicate whether you will be staying 3 or 5 months!

CostsRenting a room will be in the € 445 - 525 range per month. Public transport costs will be around € 40 a month. A bicycle is a good alternative.Excursion fees are around € 50.
