Get rid of these links

Prof. Gottlieb,

#VALUE will occur when I open a file (a "master" file) with a function of

SUMIF(parameters). The parameters are linked to other files. To get rid of t

I need to visit the "master" file everyday and have to open all the linked files

Could you help me get rid of the #VALUE without opening the linked files?
