Canberra Excursion Just a reminder that the deposit and the medical notes are all due back by this Friday, 3 July. If you have said your child is going and for some reason they won’t be I need to know now. The price of the excursion for all of our children and the children going from the other schools was dependent on the number pf children going. So if you have said your child is going, please ensure you have your deposit and notes in by Friday.
Student Reports Everyone should have received their child’s report by now. If you have any questions or
concerns please contact the office to make an appointment to speak to your child’s teacher.
Pie Drive
Don’t forget our pie drive is up and running at the moment. The pies from Kings are cheap and delicious so take the order form to as many of your friends as you can to support our little school.
Thanks everyone for your amazing hard work this term. We have gone from remote learning back to full time schooling. Students, staff and parents have all been brilliant throughout these changing times and I want to acknowledge what a tremendous effort you have all put in

Bullying: Below is the definition of bullying. Bullying behaviour has three key features. It involves the intentional misuse of power in a relationship. It is ongoing and repeated, and it involves behaviours that can cause harm. Bullying behaviour can also involve intimidation, victimisation and harassment, including that based on race, religion, disability both online and offline. Bullying can be illegal if it involves behaviours that include physical violence, threats of violence, damaging property or stalking. Please report any suspected incident of bullying to your child’s classroom teacher or executive staff. Bullying behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated at Albert Park Public School. Please do not, under any circumstance approach children in an attempt to resolve the issue, staff will always be there to assist you. Please keep in mind that not all conflict is bullying.

This Friday we are having a Deadly lunch for those students who reach 9 Deadly Award
points this term. Students still have two days to get this week’s Deadlies. There will be
pizza and a snow cone for lunch.

Albert Park staff have been lucky enough to be accepted into professional learning which will go for the rest of the year. It is focused on broadening knowledge of mathematics literacy and language and we will be working with Dr Ryan Dunn from the state Early Action for Success numeracy team.
We will explore mathematical vocabulary and how we can build students’ ability to reason through intentional talk, strategic questioning, learning intentions and success criteria.
As we finish our first module we shared how we have used visual prompts in our classrooms to support us in our mathematical thinking. Here are some examples from around the school.
