Format>Sheet>Background to insert map.
Adjust column width of all cells to 1 to 1.5 for easier placement of comments on map
5. Block Out /Paint Around One Map Image
Select all cells around one map
Black out surrounding cells with “multiple” maps by “painting” cells
Click on paint bucket/select color

Label map with key places using info gathered in research
Click on cell Insert>Comment Paste or type in description
(backspace or delete username first)
7. Copy & Paste Student Revised Comments
Comment box can be formatted - Bold, Color, Resize comment box, etc.
Right click on red arrow to open comment menu
8. Insert Graphics
Insert>Image Insert>Symbol Use Draw Toolbar Rotate, color, resize, etc. to fit Must have something to connect
to hyperlink
9. Insert Hyperlinks
Insert>Hyperlink to related sites Copy & Paste URL or Browse Type in “Screen Tool Tips” that
will pop up on mouseovers Copy shortcut to videostreaming
site into hyperlink address
10. Add Labels in Text Boxes
Title of Project Student Name Map Key – how to use Insert>Text Box Right click on outline of text box to
edit color, size, etc.
